Alex Trecartin

I've been building websites since 1998, back when getting a page to load was half the battle. A lot has changed since then, but the core of what I do hasn't: I help people get things done.

Based in Ottawa, Canada, I build, fix and host websites for small businesses, freelancers, and nonprofits. I also run a consulting practice helping entrepreneurs and businesses get registered, structured, and pointed in the right direction. I know all about people who have a clear goal but aren't sure how to get there, or who've hit a wall and need someone to help them find a way through.

I run a Canadian web hosting company and bring over two decades of hands-on experience to every project, which means I've probably seen your problem before. What I do isn't easy to put in a box. Over the years I've worked on technically interesting web challenges, helped grassroots organizations get online and get organized, and worked with clients who just needed a helping hand. That's what I'm here for.

My background goes beyond the web. I've lived in nearly a dozen Canadian communities and wherever I've landed, I've gotten involved: community organizing, civic work, and grassroots projects.
